Teaching: Intro to Fiction

During my MFA at Boston University, I served as the instructor for EN 202, “Introduction to Creative Writing.” The class of twelve undergraduate students met weekly for three hours over thirteen weeks. My syllabus can be found here.

My objective was to give students guided exposure to literary texts illustrating the core elements of narrative composition and to support students in drafting a single piece of creative writing over the course of the semester. At the end of the course, each student was encouraged to submit their revised work for publication in a literary journal.
